INFORMATION ON COVID-19 VACCINATION & BOOKING IN YORK REGION click here
All York Region residents:
Practice physical distancing (stay 2 metres/6 feet away from others)
Wear a mask in indoor public spaces
Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and often
Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
Self-isolate (do not leave your house) if you have ANY of the following:
Symptoms such as fever, new or worsening cough, or new or worsening shortness of breath
Close contact with someone who has COVID-19
Close contact with a person who is sick with respiratory illness and has recently travelled outside of Canada
Travel history outside of Canada in the last 14 days
Are over the age of 70
Are immunocompromised
If you have SYMPTOMS including:
Fever, new or worsening cough, or new or worsening shortness of breath, muscle aches, fatigue, headache, sore throat, runny nose or diarrhea
Call your healthcare provider, York Region Public Health at 1-800-361-5653, or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000
Seek assessment at a COVID-19 Assessment Centre:
Get in touch with everyone you have been in close contact with from 48 hours before your symptoms started and while you had symptoms and ask them to immediately self-isolate for 14 days
Close contacts are people you live with, have had intimate relationships with, people who have cared for you or that you have cared for (for example with bathing, feeding or dressing) and people that you have visited with, spent time with at work, or that have come to your home
York Region Public Health will also notify contacts of known cases of COVID-19 if they are at risk of getting the disease
